Across four sessions, speakers explored policy, practice, sustainability, and future directions – all with a strong emphasis on local relevance and impact.

A key takeaway was that internationalisation should reflect African priorities, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to long-term development. Overall, the series created a valuable space for honest conversation, shared learning, and looking ahead.

Webinar relaunch & network news

Warm greetings to the internationalisation of higher education webinar network!

After an intense time of change due to various unprecedented global events, including a global pandemic, creating a huge ripple effect for Planet Earth and all its inhabitants, the internationalisation webinar relaunches into a world that looks significantly different to that of its last event in 2019!

The webinar team is planning an 11th session, with focus on bringing more voices into the conversation. With many lessons learnt, we continue to focus on maintaining a positive outlook and narrative, with a mission to facilitate an inclusive discussion and debate on international, educational, and comparative issues. Needless to say, the relatively new and complex web of global developments and change we have all witnessed in the last few years (environmental, technological, social, political, and economic) can only be part and parcel of any discussion. We aim to enable reflection on what is taking place around the globe, what can be learned from that, and what world we hope to create and how we can create it.

More information will be posted here as we have it. So, make sure to hit follow, for any updates.

In the meantime, please do send Joanna any news you would like to share with the network on this site.

Stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you to another webinar event!
